TEXT_EXPL_XML <p>The former parte, nowe paste, of this my booke,<lb/>
        The seconde parte in order doth insue:<lb/>
        Which, I beginne with <persName type="mythological">IANVS</persName> double looke,<lb/>
        That as hee sees, the yeares both oulde, and newe,<lb/>
        So, with regarde, I may these partes behoulde,<lb/>
        Perusinge ofte, the newe, and eeke the oulde.<lb/>
        And if, that faulte within vs doe appeare,<lb/>
        Within the yeare, that is alreadie donne,<lb/>
        As <persName type="mythological">IANVS</persName> biddes vs alter with the yeare,<lb/>
        And make amendes, within the yeare begonne,<lb/>
        Euen so, my selfe suruayghinge what is past;<lb/>
        With greater heede, may take in hande the laste.<lb/>
