TEXT_EXPL_XML <p>The painfull Husbandman, with sweaty browes,<lb/>
                                Consumes in labour many a weary day:<lb/>
                                To breake the stubborne earth, he digs and ploughes,<lb/>
                                And, then, the Corne, he scatters on the clay:<lb/>
                                When that is done, he harrowes in the Seeds,<lb/>
                                And, by a well-cleans'd Furrow, layes it drye:<lb/>
                                He, frees it from the Wormes, the Moles, the Weeds ;<lb/>
                                He, on the Fences, also hath an eye.<lb/>
                                And, though he see the chilling Winter, bring<lb/>
                                Snowes, Flouds, and Frosts, his Labours to annoy;<lb/>
                                Though blasting-windes doe nip them in the Spring,<lb/>
                                And, Summers Meldewes, threaten to destroy:<lb/>
                                Yea, though not onely Dayes, but Weekes, they are<lb/>
                                (Nay, many Weekes, and, many Moneths beside)<lb/>
                                In which he must with payne, prolong his care,<lb/>
                                Yet, constant in his hopes he doth abide.<lb/>
                                For this respect, Hope 's Emblem, here, you see<lb/>
                                Attends the Plough, that men beholding it,<lb/>
                                May be instructed, or else minded be,<lb/>
                                What Hopes, continuing Labours, will befit.<lb/>
                                Though, long thou toyled hast, and, long attended<lb/>
                                About such workings as are necessary;<lb/>
                                And, oftentimes, ere fully they are ended,<lb/>
                                Shalt finde thy paines in danger to miscarry:<lb/>
                                Yet, be not out of hope, nor quite dejected:<lb/>
                                For, buryed Seeds will sprout when Winter's gone;<lb/>
                                Vnlikelier things are many times effected;<lb/>
                                And, God brings helpe, when men their best have done.<lb/>
                                Yea, they that in Good-workes their life imploy;<lb/>
                                Although, they sowe in teares, shall reape in joy.
