<p>I never, yet, did murmuringly complaine,<lb/> Although those Moones have long been in the Waine,<lb/> Which on their Silver Shields, my Elders wore,<lb/> In Battels, and in Triumphs, heretofore.<lb/> Nor any mention have I ever made,<lb/> Of such Eclipses, as those Crescents had;<lb/> Thereby, to move some Comet, to reflect<lb/> His fading-light, or daigne his good aspect.<lb/> For, when I tell the World, how ill I fare,<lb/> I tell her too, how little I doe care,<lb/> For her despights : yea, and I tell it not,<lb/> That, helpe, or pitie, might from her be got;<lb/> But, rather, that her Favourites may see,<lb/> I know my Waynings, yet, can pleased bee.<lb/> My Light, is from the Planet of the Sunne ;<lb/> And, though the Course, which I obliquely runne,<lb/> Oft brings my outward Fortunes to the Waine,<lb/> My Light shall, one day, bee renew'd againe.<lb/> Yea, though to some, I quite may seeme to lose<lb/> My Light ; because, my follies Interpose<lb/> Their shadowes to eclipse it: yet, I know,<lb/> My Crescents, will increase, and fuller, grow.<lb/> Assoone as in the Flesh, I beeing had,<lb/> I mooved on in Courses retrograde,<lb/> And, thereby lost my Splendor : but, I feele<lb/> Soft motions, from that great Eternall Wheele,<lb/> Which mooveth all things, sweetly mooving mee,<lb/> To gaine the Place, in which I ought to bee:<lb/> And, when to Him, I backe returne, from whom<lb/> At first I came, I shall at Full become.<lb/> </p>
